Stop rewriting the same list
Write it once. Tick it. It resets itself.
Stop rewriting the same list
You have written this list before. There's one in your Notes app called packing, last edited in July, still listing the swim goggles. There's one on the back of an envelope for the school run, and one in your head for closing up on a Friday. Every time you rebuild it from memory you leave one thing off, and it is never the same thing twice.
Todo apps are the wrong shape for this. They're built around finishing: you tick an item and it disappears, because the assumption is you'll never do it again. A packing list is the opposite — the whole value is that it comes back, identical, the night before the next trip. The ones that do handle repeats bury it under projects, assignees and due dates you will never use.
A checklist that fits you can be blunt about it. One list, or a handful you pick between. Everything unticks itself when you're done. It can group by bag, or by room, or by the order you actually do things in.

Questions
- Do I need to know how to code?
- No. You describe what you want in plain language and it gets built. If something isn't right, say what to change.
- Will it work on phones?
- Yes. Most people will find you on a phone, so the templates are built for that first.
- Will it work without signal?
- Yes. Your app can keep its data on your device, so logging still works in a shop basement or a restaurant with no bars. Say you need it to work offline when you describe it.
- Can I use the same checklist again next time?
- Yes, and that's usually the point. Ask for a list that unticks itself — after a trip, at the start of the week, or when you press a button to say you're done — and you get one list you reuse rather than a new one you rebuild from memory. If you want a few versions of it, say so when you describe it.
- Can someone else tick things off?
- Yes. Send them the link and it opens in their browser — no account needed. Decide up front whether everyone works through one shared list or each person keeps their own, and say which when you describe it.
