Privacy Policy
Last updated July 9, 2026
Protecting your privacy is really important to Universe Exploration Company ("Universe Exploration Company," "we," "our," and/or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with Build Anything, including our websites, applications, AI features, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It applies to information we handle as described below, and it should be read together with our Terms of Service. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, products, or services.
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Information we collect is covered by the version of the Privacy Policy in effect at the time it is collected. We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Services and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
2.1 Information you provide to us.
- Account information. When you create an account ("Account"), we collect information that can be used to identify you, such as your name and email address. If you sign in using a third-party login (for example, a Google or Apple account), we receive basic account identifiers from that provider.
- Content you create. We collect the content you provide to or generate through the Services, including the prompts you write, the conversations you have while building, and the applications, code, and other output you create.
- Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, our third-party payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full payment card numbers; we receive limited billing information such as confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card.
- Communications. If you contact us for support or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you choose to provide.
2.2 Information collected automatically.
- Usage and log data. Our servers automatically record certain information about how you use the Services ("Log Data"), such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages or features you view, the time and date of your visits, and the links you click.
- Device information. We collect basic technical information about the device and software you use to access the Services, such as device and browser identifiers and settings.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies as described in the "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" section below.
- Approximate location. We may derive an approximate, coarse location (such as city or region) from your IP address to keep the Services secure and relevant. We do not collect precise GPS location.
2.3 Information from third parties. We may receive information from third parties that help us operate the Services, such as authentication providers, analytics providers, and payment processors.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, maintain, and operate the Services, including generating your apps and saving your work so you can return to it;
- personalize and improve the Services and develop new features;
- process transactions and send related information, such as receipts;
- communicate with you about the Services, including security and administrative messages and, where permitted, product updates;
- protect the security and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms; and
- comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. AI Providers and How Your Prompts Are Processed
To build your apps, the prompts and inputs you submit are sent to our third-party AI provider(s) to generate the requested output. We share this content with AI providers only to provide the Services to you, and we work to ensure they are contractually bound to handle it accordingly.
We do not use your prompts or the content you create to train our AI models. Our AI providers' handling of data is also governed by their agreements with us and their own privacy terms.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Like many online services, we use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and improve them. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Third-party providers, such as analytics providers, may set their own cookies; their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them. Where required by law, we obtain consent for non-essential cookies. We also honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by applicable law (see "Your Privacy Rights").
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below:
- Service providers. We share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf — such as hosting, authentication, AI processing, analytics, customer support, and payments — and only as needed for them to perform those services for us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable law or a lawful request, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Universe Exploration Company, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Aggregated or de-identified information. We may share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
- With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your Account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You can request deletion of your Account and associated information as described below.
8. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure, including encryption in transit. However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
9.1 Your general choices. You can review and update your Account information at any time in your account settings. You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages (note that you cannot opt out of service-related communications). If you would like us to delete your Account and associated personal information, you can do so through your account settings or by contacting us at privacy@univer.se. Some information may remain in archived or backup form as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
9.2 California residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you; know the categories of sources, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it; request deletion of your personal information; request correction of inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law; to the extent any of our analytics could be considered "sharing," you may opt out using your browser's cookie controls or a recognized opt-out preference signal such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. The categories of personal information we collect are described in "Information We Collect" above. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@univer.se; we will verify your request as required by law.
9.3 EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR). If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Universe Exploration Company is the controller of your personal information. We rely on the following legal bases to process your information: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Services); our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Services and prevent abuse), balanced against your rights; your consent (for example, for certain cookies or marketing, where required), which you may withdraw at any time; and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@univer.se.
10. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal information out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are in the EEA or UK, you must be old enough to consent to the processing of your personal information in your country (in some countries this is up to 16). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take steps to delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@univer.se.
12. Links to Other Sites
The Services may contain links to websites and services owned or operated by third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
